Firefly Baby

I love Flare but she's so hard to draw because like 50% of her body is its own lightsource, what the helllllllll

I kind of like the weird, abstract/angular style of drawing I used for this, although obviously the anatomy/details need work. Also I can't draw reflections for shit... or even just regular water

This is Flare when she's younger, I'd say more adolescent than hatchling but still probably less than 500 years old (at which age she'd learn to fly). Her "horns" are basically fully grown, although they are not hard and stiff like traditional horns, but instead flexible with glowing tips. Her tail isn't its full size, but is also very hard/heavy by this point, making a much more useful weapon. Her wings are supposed to have small glowing patches on them like her horns and tail, but they smudged in the picture ;-;
